| − | Vervain is albino, with utterly white skin, straight white hair framing her face, and disconcerting pink eyes. While this isn't something she considers much any more, strangers who feel uneasy with those who look peculiar find her deeply disconcerting. Some assume she was born in a shadowland, others attribute some other strange heritage to her, while a few realise that some were simply born that way. While she has not, in fact, always been an albino (the colour of her skin and eyes having been taken from her by a spirit), it is something she has adjusted to, and more or less ignores now. If the subject is raised, she maintains that it was simply a quirk of her birth which left her as she is.

| − | In terms of clothing, Vervain favours relatively simple tailored dresses, most commonly grey, fitted, and fairly elegant. With this, she wears light boots reaching up almost to her knees, and an embroidered grey headscarf which covers the mark of the Twilight caste, permanently visible on her forehead as an area of almost normal-looking skin, surreal against the stark white of her face. A pendant composed of a strange collection of items encircled with a band of oricalchum hangs around her neck; it was made by her, for a purpose only she knows, to an ancient design discovered in Denandsor, and most of the time it is tucked inside her clothing, invisible save for the plain chain on which it hangs.

| − | As should be evident from the equipment list alone, Vervain's adventures have been <i>many.</i> The idea of detailing her backstory, both in-game and pre-game, gives me a headache at present (all the more so because I've just been looking at her character sheet, and the many pages of notes which go with it), so that's a task I shall leave for another day. You'll have to be happy with just the stats, for now.
