Receiving the Missions

The missions are made available via the Bureau of Destiny. Recognizing the value of expanding its field operatives in the service of other bureaus and gods, the BoD allows for petitions to be made available to its staff. All staff has access to and the ability to accept these petitions, but in practice only younger Sidereals have the time or inclination to complete missions for others. Elder Sidereals are far too busy with their own machinations.

Each Mission has ratings attached to it from 1-5 stars:

Journeys: Difficulty/Distance traveling to target.<br>

* 1 star = Near a gate from Yu Shan,<br>
 +
* 2 stars = more than a days travel from a gate and/or difficult terrain <br>

* 3 stars = You will likely desire magical means of traversing the distance (including a Chosen of Journey's anima) and/or some danger is to be expected. <br>

* 4 stars = Significant distance to the target AND danger/difficulty is to be expected along the way.<br>

* 5 stars = Multiple day trip and significant danger should be anticipated.  Preperation will be key.<br>

Serenity: The amount of social/political dealings necessary for completion of the mission. <br>

* 1 star = You might have to interact with a human being once before completing the mission. <br>

* 2 stars = The normal day to day interaction with people to maintain your cover will be required. <br>

* 4 stars = You are likely to be involved in a great deal of intrigue in order to achieve success on this mission.<br>
