Veet/Celestial Ox Style

From Exalted - Unofficial Wiki

The ox is chosen from other livestock to undergo special conditioning and training to increase their strength and make them into powerful creatures able to haul large loads and work in harsh conditions. Similarly the followers of the ox style are chosen from the strongest and most fit and conditioned to become even stronger. Ox style prizes strength and the ability to stand up to most blows rather than to deflect or dodge them. A master of the Celestial Ox style can throw his opponents around like rag dolls as they break their own weapons on his solid and durable body.

Weapons and Armor: The ox is a tool unto itself and usually requires no others, only the cestus, smashfist and bare fists are considered form type weapons for Celestial Ox style but the form may be practiced in armor.

Additional Skills: Strength and endurance is a must for the Ox. No teacher of the Celestial Ox Style will take on a student with fewer than 3 dots of strength; most require a few dots in resistance as well.

Prerequisite Charms: Adamant Bull Stance, Stubborn Ox Technique

There is an old proverb which states; weather the stone hits the egg or the egg hits the stone it’s bad for the egg. This charm makes an incoming strike bad for the attacker by hardening the skin and solidifying the body of the martial artist. Anything striking them is in danger of being damaged. Attackers take a number of dice of bashing damage equal to the martial artists hardness rating, even if they are striking with a weapon and not bare fists as the strike jars the weapon severely in their hands. This damage is only soakable with natural soak and charms and mundane weapons used to strike the martial artist when this charm is active have a chance of breaking.
