Dying Phoenix Style

Background

Invented in the early days of the Old Realm, this Zenith-created Celestial Martial Arts style was one of the first to be taught to the Terrestrial Exalted. Save the possible exceptions of a handful of Outcastes, it is now unknown amongst the Dragon-Blooded. Preserved by both factions of the Chosen of the Maidens, the Dying Phoenix Style has been relearned by a few Dawn and Zenith Caste Solars. A handfull of Lunars (most likely of the Full Moon Caste) may know it as well.

The Dying Phoenix Style focuses, even in its pre-Form Charms, on raw power. If one increases one's offensive capabilities with this Style, one gainst sheer damage-dealing potential, either through attack or counter attack. Defense, as provided by this style, works, instead of avoiding attacks, toward stopping them altogether. Healing is also an importan element in the strategy of an apprentice Dying Phoenix. A master Dying Phoenix, unlike a master of many other styles, fights in a way quite different from that of his apprentice. While his apprentice duels with excellent form, he blongs on the battlefield, thoug he can end a duel from afar before it starts. Woe betide a mortal army that attacks a Vanguard of Inferno, and woe betide any army that attacks an Apocalyptic Martyr.

This style favors no weapons or armor
