Lunar Unarmed Combat Charms By Shakenzerite

Charms

Stunning Lion Paw Attack

Cost: 2 motes/die
Type: Supplemental
Duration: Instant
Min. Strength: 3
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Deadly Claw Blow

Striking with a mighty open-palmed attack, the Lunar may pummel his enemies into unconsciousness before delivering a coup de grace. When making an Unarmed Brawl or Martial Arts attack, the Lunar may buy stunning dice of damage at the cost of two motes per die, up to his Strength, before soak but after he has hit. Damage successes reduce from the target’s dice pools for all actions during the next (Lunar’s Strength) turns, rather than causing bashing damage. If the target suffers a penalty greater than his Stamina, then he is knocked senseless for a number of turns equal to the difference between his Stamina and the number of successes, after which he has a penalty for the remainder of the turns.

Hyena Bites the Elephant's Leg
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
Type: Supplemental
Duration: Instant
Min. Strength: 5
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Door-Breaking Method

By bringing his jaws down on an opponent’s weapon and shifting them into the likeness of any beast known for its powerful bite, a Lunar may disarm his opponent more effectively and permanently then simply knocking a weapon out of the grasp of his foe. Roll the Lunar’s Strength + (Brawl or Martial Arts) against a difficulty equal to the weapon’s damage rating, after rolling to hit normally; success means that the weapon is either broken or has its capacity to do damage compromised, depending on whether the weapon is normal or an artifact such as a goremaul. Magical weapons with blunted edges (among other problems) may be repaired by a skilled craftsman making an appropriate Intelligence + Craft roll with a difficulty equal to the Lunar’s Essence; until then, it only adds half as much to its wielder’s strength. Normal weapons are snapped and ruined totally. This Charm may even be used on natural weaponry.

Fire-Snapping Reflexes
Cost: 6 motes
Type: Instant
Duration: Supplemental
Min. Dexterity: 4
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Claws of the Silver Moon, Sinuous Striking Grace

The Lunar may strike a blow so terrifyingly quick that it superheats the air around the wound, dealing a massive degree of extra damage. After soak but before damage is rolled, double the number of dice rolled for damage.

Supernal Conflagration Talon
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
Type: Simple
Duration: Instant
Min. Dexterity: 5
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Fire-Snapping Reflexes

By snapping and clicking his hands together in such a manner that they travel quickly enough to create a fiery swathe of heat in the air, the Lunar may hurl a bolt of plasma at an unfortunate, making a ranged Dexterity + (Brawl or Martial Arts) attack to do so. The base damage of such an attack is equal to (The Lunar’s Essence + Strength + Dexterity)L, and may travel out to ten times the Lunar’s Essence in yards and no further to deal damage.

Flesh-Carving Serrations Technique
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
Type: Supplemental
Duration: One Scene
Min. Manipulation: 4
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Scimitar Claw Technique

By shaping his natural weapons so that they sport deadly serrations of imperishable moonsilver, the Lunar may inflict grievous injury on all that he faces in combat. Any damage rolls using the enhanced weaponry may count any tens rolled on the damage roll as two successes rather than one. Damage inflicted under the auspices of this Charm is always lethal.

Flickering Mirror Claws
Cost: 2 motes/success
Type: Supplemental
Duration: Instant
Min. Manipulation: 3
Min. Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Scimitar Claw Technique

With the solid actuality of the Lunar’s talons flickering with fore- and after-images, the reality of the danger they pose becomes much harder to predict. A Lunar may activate this Charm to increase the difficulty of parrying or dodging an unarmed attack by 1 per two motes spent on the Charm, to a maximum difficulty modifier of the Lunar's Essence.

Argent Claw Transcendence
Cost: 5 motes/die converted, 1 Willpower
Type: Supplemental
Duration: Instant
Min. Dexterity: 4
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Deadly claw Blow, Tyrant Lizard Strike

The heroes of Creation are capable of making awe-inspiring successes in the face of otherwise certain defeat, and the bestial heroes inside it are no exception. Seeking forward and striking with the certainty of a heroic outcome to the attack, the Lunar may buy twice as many successes as normally allowed, converting a number of dice up to his Dexterity into two successes each, as if he had rolled tens on them. Like Deadly Claw Blow, this attack is capable of harming dematerialized spirits as if they were materialized, but as long as at least five motes are expended to enhance a Lunar’s attack with this Charm, it is also proof against any imperfect defense – even if the attack roll misses, the Lunar is assumed to hit with one success to add to damage.

Flesh-Digging Shark's Bite
Cost: 2 motes/die penalty
Type: Supplemental
Duration: Instant
Min. Manipulation: 4
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs Charms: Deadly Claw Blow

Biting his target, the Lunar may reshape his teeth into serrated blades that cut out large sections of skin, muscle and anything else. After making a successful bite attack, the player may opt to pay 2 motes per die of damage converted into an automatic success or a -1 penalty to every one of the target’s actions; this penalty lingers until the wounds heal. No more than the Lunar’s Essence in dice may be subtracted from any one foe.

Horrific Siaka Jaw
Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower
Type: Simple
Duration: One Scene
Min. Manipulation: 4
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Scimitar Claw Technique

His jaws unfurling and expanding outward, and subsequently growing row after row of serrated moonsilver teeth and the tesserae to reinforce them, the Lunar may show the true power of the horrific jaws of the wilderness. The statistics for his bite become Spd +3 Acc +3 Dam +10L Defense +1 (Spd -1, Acc +3, Dam +15L Defense +0 Rate 4 under power combat), and the damage is piercing. The Lunar may also use his gigantic maw to easily clinch opponents, reflexively making a damage roll with the benefits of his enhanced jaws while he fights others. However, wound penalties from injuries inflicted by the jaws are halved from the severing of nerves.

Blood-Spraying Rat Teeth
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
Type: Reflexive
Duration: Indefinite
Min. Manipulation: 3
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Hyena Jaw Technique

Rats bite for major blood-vessels, and they do so with uncanny accuracy. A Lunar may reshape his front teeth into the same chisel-shaped incisors of woe in a moment’s notice, the better to take advantage of foes that believe they have won by engaging in grappling with the Lunar. For the amount of time that this Charm is active, the Lunar’s bite makes all those that suffer at least one health level of damage by it bleed uncontrollably for the Lunar’s (Essence) turns, losing a health level of damage each turn until all the turns have elapsed.

Clot-Confounding Maw
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
Type: Supplemental
Duration: One Scene
Min. Charisma: 3
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Rabid Beast Bite

Like a vampire bat or a leech, the Lunar can secrete a powerful anticoagulant that prevents blood from clotting. Slathered on the horrific wounds that Lunars are capable of producing with their jaws, it prevents even the Exalted from willing their wounds closed, and causes the Exalt to lose one lethal health level every three turns due to bleeding. Charms that are used to defend against this effect have their difficulty or cost increased by the Lunar’s Essence, depending on whether or not there is a necessary roll. Mundane stitching of wounds cannot aid the victim of the Clot-Confounding Maw.
