Background

From a young age, you had been fascinated by the mysteries of Creation, and the travails of mortals and immortals alike. You joined the Immaculate Order as soon as you were able, and rose steadily in their ranks, becoming known for your skill with the bow and your exacting.

One day, as you were practising your archery, the Unconquered Sun came to you. You felt the surge of exaltation take your body, and lost knowledge fill your mind. The Unconquered Sun spoke to you, saying that the Order was not the sum of all things, and bade you to search for true enlightenment. You have puzzled on this for a long time — five years, by your reckoning. You have taken leave of the Order, although you have not told them the truth of what drives your actions. You know that what you seek cannot be found in the cloisters, nor will the monks look kindly on one who does not fit into the heavenly hierarchy of the Immaculate texts.

Conversely, you also know now that those texts are incomplete, whether by design or by accident. The Sidereals, the architects and navigators of fate, are the subject of your quest. All mention of them disappears from the pages of history at the end of the First Age, but you know that they still exist. You do not know what you will ask them once you have found them, but you’ll deal with that when the time comes.

In the meantime, you have carved for yourself a niche of sorts as an investigator and detective. While you see it as a sideline to your main goal, you feel obliged to honour the requests for aid that you receive — especially if it offers the opportunity to learn more about that which you seek.

Description

Dark brown hair cut short, brown eyes. Medium height, medium build, high cheekbones. Wields the Bow of Harmony, an orichalcum long powerbow. Wears the plain, simple clothing of an itinerant monk; talks like one as well.
