The Black Boar That Twists The Skies is <i>relentless</i> in his <i>unstoppable</i> advance. In truth, he is as <i>incapable of stopping</i> as he is <i>incapable of restraint</i>. His <i>titanic arrogance</i> exceeds even his <i>titanic form</i>. <i>Strife</i> and <i>competition</i> are his natural environment. He is <i>endlessly destructive</i>, yet oddly <i>immediate in his ravages</i>, in both time and space. He is <i>not impulsive</i>, but he is <i>predictable</i>. He is <i>utterly reckless</i> and <i>completely self-centered</i>. He <i>hates Fate</i>. He is <i>lawless</i>; more, he is <i>chaos embodied</i>. He <i>delights in disorder for its own sake</i> and <i>needs neither justification nor purpose</i> for his deeds. He is <i>brash</i> and <i>loud</i>, to say nothing of <i>fearless</i>, with one notable exception; Isidoros <i>fears being restrained</i> above anything. You can <i>hear him coming</i>, but by that time it is <i>too late to get out of the way</i>. Many compare him to Adorjan, but they betray their own ignorance. The two could not be more different. While Adorjan is completely free of the constraints of identity while claiming all the benefits of self, and thus moves free of everything, the totality of Isidoros' being is the product of <i>inertia</i>, and he is as free of outside constraint as he is utterly chained to his own identity. He is eternally <i>charging</i>, <i>moving only forwards</i>. A creature of <i>desire</i>, Isidoros <i>lives for sensation</i>, and he lives <i>in the moment</i>. <i>His word is final</i>, and he <i>will not be swayed from his course</i>. He will always fight for <i>freedom to be oneself</i>. His sacred number is <i>six</i>. Isidoros' Excellency may also be used to supplement any action taken to pilot any large First Age vehicle.<br>

Isidoros' Excellency may not be used to supplement any actions taken in service to another. It may not enhance any action that preserves a system of law, or any authority other than the Infernal's own. It may not be used to arrest or stop the Infernal's motion. It may enhance any action taken to oppose a Sidereal or divine agent of the Bureau of Destiny in the faithful execution of their duties, or any action taken by a being with a score in the Destiny background that furthers said Destiny. Isidoros' Excellency may also be used to pilot any large First Age ground vehicle.

Isidoros' passing is turbulent and calamitous. In his wake, space and time themselves are shredded, just as is the stone of the Demon City. This Charm may be activated when the Infernal dashes. Debris are thrown up from the surface underfoot out a number of yards equal to the Infernal's permanent Essence score, as an environmental hazard with Damage (number of times Infernal has taken World-Trampling Advancex2)B, Trauma (Essence). At first, the debris plume only causes damage on hard earth. At Essence 3+, the Infernal can cause damage when dashing across such surfaces as water, sand, or thatched roofs. At Essence 4+, the Infernal can cause shockwaves in the very warp and weft of Creation itself even when charging across thin air. A second purchase of this Charm at Essence 4 makes the damage of the environmental effect lethal, as stone shatters into razor shards, water boils into steam, and the air itself bursts into black flame under the Infernal's hooves.

The Black Boar That Twists the Skies condescends to allow his servants to assume for a time some of his terrible glory. The Infernal's form explodes into a titanic black boar, like a distant echo of Isidoros himself. Their Strength and Stamina scores increase by 2 each, which does not count as a dice bonus from Charms and does increase the maximum pool size. The character gains the <i>Tusks, Armored Hide</i> and <i>Great Hooves</i> mutations. All Isidoros Charms with World-Trampling Advance as a prerequisite cost half motes while this Charm is in effect, and for the purposes of said Charm, the Infernal's damage pools increase by 1. The character cannot speak while in this form.

Isidoros Charms

First Isidoros Excellency
Cost: 1m per
Type: Reflexive (Step 1 for attacker, Step 2 for defender)
Duration: Instant
Keywords: Combo-OK
Minima: Essence 1
Prerequisites: None

The Black Boar That Twists The Skies is relentless in his unstoppable advance. He is eternally charging, moving only forwards. Isidoros never retreats; instead, he will smash through his problems and come out the other side. He is brash and loud. Strife and competition are his natural environment. His titanic arrogance exceeds even his titanic form. He is lawless; more, he is anarchy embodied. Isidoros respects no authority but might, and none within Creation or without have matched his for an Age. Isidoros hates Fate, and by extension all systems of law. He is an iconoclast, and he holds in contempt the loyal, the pious, and the humble. He delights in disorder for its own sake and looks kindly on ambition and pride. You can hear him coming, but by that time it is too late to get out of the way. He is endlessly destructive. He will not be swayed from his course. He is tireless. Isidoros is utterly reckless and completely self-centered. He is impulsive, but predictable. Isidoros will not always play fair, but he will play by the rules as he understands them. Cheating does not prove one's might, so the Black Boar is not a cheater. He will always strive to beat an opponent at their own game. Unless, of course, the game is boring or frustrating, in which case he will probably leave it and play another. The Sky-Twister is a creature of base desire: he is the original Beast. His sacred number is six.
Many compare ever-charging Isidoros to cruel Adorjan, but they betray their own ignorance. The two could not be more different. While both are ever-moving, Adorjan is weightless and free, and moves to and fro as she wishes. The totality of Isidoros' being is the product of inertia; he cannot escape his course or his identity, wherever they may carry him.

World-Trampling Advance
Cost: -
Type: Permanent
Duration: Permanent
Keywords: None
Minima: Essence 2
Prerequisites: None

Isidoros charges endlessly through the Demon City, and his rampages trample all before him to twisted wreckage. None are so foolish as to stand before the Black Boar That Twists The Skies as he moves. This Charm grants several benefits.

  • The Infernal always successfully dashes through unsteady terrain.
  • The Infernal's dashes are unaffected by fatigue or wound penalties.
  • Whenever the Infernal collides with something while dashing, it takes dice of bashing damage equal to the Infernal's (Strength+Essence x number of times the Infernal has purchased this Charm+the number of size-increasing mutations or other effects affecting the Infernal). Against inanimate objects, this damage pool increases by (distance in yards the Infernal had moved previously in that action).
  • Mortal extras now count as inanimate objects for the purposes of Charms that damage only inanimate objects, or damage inanimate objects differently.

This Charm may be purchased a maximum number of times equal to the Infernal's permanent Essence score.

Snake-Neck Heel Strike
Cost: 3m
Type: Reflexive (Step 9)
Duration: Instant
Keywords: Combo-OK, Counterattack
Minima: Essence 2
Prerequisites: World-Trampling Advance

From time to time, the great serpents Kidunga and Chikalla, lesser souls of Isidoros, will rise from the dust of Malfeas to strike at Isidoros' heels, but he is their master and smites them dead each time. In a similar manner the Infernal reacts at the speed of rage to an attack against them. The Infernal gains a counterattack at full dice pool against an unexpected attack against them.

Stone-Churning Charge
Cost: 4m
Type: Reflexive
Duration: Indefinite
Keywords: Combo-OK, Inertia, Obvious
Minima: Essence 2
Prerequisites: Snake-Neck Heel Strike

A second purchase of this Charm at Essence 3 makes the damage of the environmental effect lethal, as stone shatters into razor shards, water boils into steam, and the air itself bursts into black flame under the Infernal's hooves.

Road-Shattering Tread
Cost: 6m
Type: Supplemental
Duration: Indefinite
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious, Inertia
Minima: Essence 3
Prerequisites: Stone-Churning Charge

As the Infernal runs, a wake of scab-red Essence spreads out behind-them, shattering the road and warping the ground into twisted and tortured ruin. The wake of the Infernal's passage is so ruined that it is nigh-impassable. For the duration of a single foot journey, the difficulty of any rolls to track the Infernal using this Charm becomes 0, even in a location as chaotic as the Deep Wyld. However, any pursuers calculate travel speed as if they were moving through difficult terrain.

Destructive Wake Method
Cost: -
Type: Permanent
Duration: Permanent
Keywords: Obvious, Sorcery
Minima: Essence 4
Prerequisites: Stone-Churning Charge

Isidoros' might is so great that his every hoofstep knocks about the continental layers of Malfeas. The Children of the Black Boar may endow their own charge with a fraction of that immense power. This Charm enhances its prerequisite. The area of its effect is doubled, and the Trauma and Damage of the environmental effect increase by 2.

Sky-Twisting Hoof
Cost: 5m, 1wp
Type: Simple
Duration: Instant
Keywords: Blasphemy, Combo-OK, Obvious, Sorcery
Minima: Essence 4
Prerequisites: Stone-Churning Charge

Isidoros was against the incorporation of Fate into Creation's design from the start, favoring a more...free-form paradigm. The Black Boar, as the ultimate incarnation of anarchy, disrupts causality and reason with his passing. In a like fashion, the Infernal can undo the meddlings of the Maidens. The Infernal makes a kick attack against an enemy. If the attack hits, it damages destinies affecting the target in addition to physically damaging the target. If the target is currently under the effects of an ascending, descending, or resplendent destiny, then the Duration of that effect decreases by (half the number of levels of damage inflicted).

Black Boar Shintai
Cost: 12m, 1wp
Type: Simple (Speed 1, DV -0)
Duration: Scene
Keywords: Obvious, Shaping, Sorcery
Minima: Essence 4
Prerequisites: Sky-Twisting Hoof

The Black Boar That Twists the Skies condescends to allow his servants to assume for a time some of his terrible glory. The Infernal's form explodes into a titanic black boar, as high at the shoulder as a man is tall, with bristling thorny hairs and eyes like fire, like a distant echo of Isidoros himself. Their Strength and Stamina scores increase by 2 each, the increased value counting as natural Attribute scores for the purposes of dice-adders. The character gains the Wolf's Pace, Tusks, Thick Hide and Hooves mutations. All Isidoros Charms with World-Trampling Advance as a prerequisite cost half motes while this Charm is in effect, and for the purposes of said Charm, the Infernal's damage pools increase by 2.
A second purchase of this Charm at Essence 5 modifies the mutation package, with Hooves being replaced by Great Hooves and Thick Hide by Armored Hide. The Infernal's tusk attack increases its Damage and Defense by (his permanent Essence), and its rate by 2. His World-Trampling Advance damage pool increases 2 dice further. He gains 1x-1/1x-2 temporary health levels, which are lost first as per usual. A third and final purchase at Essence 6 grants him the Extra Legs and Acute Sense (Smell) mutations, +2 more dice to his World-Trampling Advance damage pool, +2 Rate to his tusk attacks, +2B/2L soak and +(Ess)B/(Ess)L Hardness.
