House Rules: Character Creation
- Custom artifacts are restricted at character creation.
- Cross-Exalt backgrounds are heavily restricted.
- Lunars may choose 2 Favored Abilities in addition to Survival, instead of 1.
- Merits & Flaws are somewhat restricted. Flaws do not provide bonus points unless they are used to pay for an applicable Merit. Example: A flaw causing blindness paying for a merit granting heightened hearing.
A backstory must be submitted before I will even look at a new character's sheet. The backstory should include details on your character's goals, personality, history, & any relevant information about their specific type (i.e. why they were exalted, created, sired, etc). It is preferable to have this backstory submitted in written or electronic form, but not required.
House Rules: General
- Backgrounds don't cost any xp to raise during play, given a proper reason. In downtime, characters may raise their backgrounds with xp, but require some type of story justification and ST approval.
- Characters may spend xp or bp to increase stats of their familiars with proper justification.
House Rules: Charms
- Purchase of any sorcery/necromancy/weaving charm comes with a free spell of the relevant type.
- When attempting to purchase the subsequent (and identical) version of a charm (i.e. Ox-Body), the character is always considered to have a teacher.
