Falcon's Abyssal Medicine Charms

Why heal the sick when you can butcher them in inventive ways? (While wearing a poet shirt.)

The Corrupted Body Tree

Shining Cascade Attack

Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Min. Medicine: 4
Min. Occult: 1
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Crimson Waterfall Attack

Aiming your attacks to open arteries is just the least of the techniques available to a skilled surgeon. With more advanced knowledge of chakras and acupuncture, an Abyssal Exalt can inflict wounds that haemorrhage essence, rapidly draining the victim's stores of power.

Each wound inflicted by an attack enhanced with this charm causes the target to lose two motes of essence every turn, exactly as if they were spent. These wounds are cumulative, so multiple wounds quickly amount to a heavy essence drain.

At the beginning of each turn, after the motes have been paid, the victim may reflexively roll Willpower against a difficulty of the Abyssal's Essence to try and stop the leakage. The victim gets one roll per wound. Another character can treat the victim with an Intelligence + Medicine roll at the same difficulty, but only if they have at least Occult •. This takes a few minutes, so is not normally a combat action. Finally, any kind of magical healing will stanch the metaphysical wounds.

This charm is explicitly permitted to be in a combo with charms of other abilities.

Assumption Of The Walking Curse

Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Scene
Type: Simple
Min. Medicine: 5
Min. Occult: 2
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Shining Cascade Attack

The Abyssal concentrates and touches two fingers to his caste mark, drawing forth the necrotic power of Oblivion and flooding his body with it. Everyone he sees is overlaid with a tracery of red and black lines, the miniature dragon tracks that fill all living things with essence and provide a detailed map of how to harm them for those who know how to read it.

Any attacks the character makes while under the effects of this charm automatically do lethal damage, whether he wishes them to or not. His mere touch inflicts his Essence in dice of bashing damage, soakable only with natural soak (this is on top of any lethal damage his unarmed attacks may do).

In addition, the essence of anyone he harms is tainted for a number of days equal to his Essence. If the tainted one should die during that time, his corpse will rise as a zombie just a few minutes later. He will also spawn a hungry ghost that resides in the animated corpse. At night, the ghost will emerge to maraud. The Abyssal who uses this charm can automatically command any zombies or hungry ghosts that it creates.
