Brainstorming New Exalted 
I never liked the fact that there were several Celestial Exalted, but only one type of Terrestrial Exalted. I felt it seemed like something was left out. I got to thinking of what could differant terrestrials be like. My first was the Pheonix-born, created as the borderguard against the Wyld. I started to think of what other jobs the gods could use Terrestrials for. Finally I decided upon the Meteoric Exalted, otherwise known as the Shooting Star Children. These were the helpers of the Sidereals, doing much of the grunt work of heaven as well as bodyguard/army of the Heavenly Beauracracy. They existed until the ursurpation, which they violently opposed. They attempted to tear down the Loom of Fate in a powerstruggle which was a pale mockery of the struggle the Dragon-blooded were waging against the Solars at that very moment. The Shooting Star Children were slaughtered to the man by their Sidereal masters. Their history and very named erased from the tapestry, only the gods remember the most tragic of the Terrestrial races. 

The Shooting Star Children were masters of manipulating elsewhere, and have limited control over Fate (much less powerful then the Sidereals).
