This template represents basic training in a single astrological college. Other than sorcery, this is the only way sidereals can buy the Metamorphosis attribute. This template allows the sidereal to generate a 4 point effect, at least two points of which must be spent on the Target and Duration PMVs. To increase the number of points generated by an effect, the sidereal must increase the level of Metamorphosis, paying five points per level.

The Duration PMV for astrological effects starts at rank 10 (1 month). The Targets PMV works slightly differently. Targets that have the Mundane defect are handled collectively, starting at rank 3 (10 people). Targets that do not have the Mundane defect, however, must be paid for individually, for one point per target.

Only a limited set of attributes and defects may be used with astrology: Adaptation, Divine Relationship, Enhanced [Stat], Features, Heightened Senses, Highly Skilled, Special Defense, Achilles Heel, Blind Fury, Cursed, Easily Distracted, Famous, Less Capable, Recurring Nightmares, Unskilled.

This represents the bare bones of a resplendent destiny. Since the introductory astrological college template above will generate a 4 point effect, there will be at least one point remaining for purchasing resplendent destiny like effects. At low levels these will probably be Features or other simple attributes or increased duration. As a character gains more levels in the Metamorphosis attribute of a given college, destinies created by that attribute will provide more points, which might provide things like Special Attacks related to the college. Such effects often have the Limited Use, Instantaneous defect.
