New page

From the WW boards: 6/06/06 http://forums.white-wolf.com/viewtopic.php?t=40225&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90

I can see the rationales for the concern to the statement.

Here's the fun piece you all will enjoy. After rereading, I'm pretty convinced now that the dodge will work.

There is a direct conflict between the wording of seven shadow evasion and the wording of the soulbreaker's attack.

Consequently, according to the guidelines set forth on page 179, with one clearly a defense and theother clearly an attack, it doesn't matter that I specifically was trying to make seven shadow evasion inapplicable (and I was), because in case of such a conflict, the core rules themselves are clear. Defense wins.

What this means is that if Celestial Exalted come bundled with perfect defenses that do not have the block the unblockable/dodge the undodgeable clause in them, the soulbreaker and like effects will have their radius limitation applied to it.

So, to summarize, despite my best attempt to limit the dodge, the core rules still tell me it comes out in the favor of the Solars.

Apparently, they bought perfect defenses against freelancers, too.
