Let me start by saying that I have no idea if this has been
mentioned before or if it means anything at all, but I stumbled
across something interesting whilst reading through the books the
other day, and was curious as to what all of you thought about it.

The first spirit in the Brigid story in the BoTC was a forest spirit
who appeared to Brigid and told her about her journey and the power
it would bring her. But look closely at the details of the spirit
and how her appearance was made, and some similarities come up.

Brigid was missing her husband at the time and crying to herself in
a forest clearing with a pond in the center. She looked up to admire
a shooting star overhead when this spirit suddenly appeared in the
clearing with her.

This almost exactly matches the MO of the Second Circle Demon named
Mara (ST Guide, page 74). She dwells within the East, appears to
people who are feeling an overwhelming grief for their loved ones,
can be summoned by shedding seven tears into a forest pool, and her
arrival is marked by the appearance of a shooting star across the
heavens.

Have people seen this before? Does it stike anyone as odd? It could
give new meaning to when she said to Brigid "My masters smile upon
you."

Just curious, and throwing it out there for discussion. :)

Ooh, another idea: What if Brigid was aided by the yozis, as step one
in a long term plan to break out of Malpheas (the culmination of
which is soon coming in the form of an over ambitious Dragon Blooded
bitch).

When you stop to think about it... why is it that the Yozis seem

Whispers of the Malfeans. They listened where they should not and
looked where they should not and dreamt the nightmares of dead gods.

Oh, sure they invented spells aplenty.
Makes you wonder about sorcery, though, doesn't it?

Eh. I'd say Yozis aren't particularly Sorcery-proof. Sorcery doesn't invoke a particular Primordial, it just hacks the basic Essence Flows of Creation in a way that the Gods can't do because they're too specialized. All things are technically hardwired into creation, it's just learning how to insert the bit of code that says, for instance "Set DeathOfObsidianButterflies(EnemyArmy)=1;". The closest you'd get to Primordials being immune to sorcery (other than a "*yawn* I block." fashion) is summoning a demon to take one on. Something tells me that if the Ebon Dragon busted loose, you couldn't get Erembour to oppose him, no matter what your hold on her.-- [[Mockery]]

So, Sorcery didn't exist during the war with the Primordials?
