The Solars discovered necromancy.\\<br />
They didn't invent it.<br />

They looked in the dark places where they should not have looked and listened where they should not have listened. What they found was the nightmares and Whispers of dead gods.<br />

The Malfeans didn't improve upon neromancy later. It was always perfected in its nihilistic glory. The Solars simply weren't capable of comprehending the full depths of their black magic.<br />

At least, that was my starting point when I designed necromancy. Take that for what you will.<br />
