= Oniboshi, Home of the Oni (Alien Prince(sse)s) =

Many in Creation think the Wyld surrounds Creation. But what actually surrounds Creation is an area where the Wyld and Creation overlap, Oniboshi, home to the many worlds and realms of the Oni, beings who have adapted to live in a place too chaotic for mortals and too orderly for the things of Creation.

Oniboshi is divided into what scholars call 'waypoints'. These are regions of indeterminate size, which are basically 'places where something interesting happens'. They may be anything from one room inside a building to a hell-dimension of infinite nothingness to the hunting preserve continent of the planet Kagladar. The connections between waypoints constantly shift as Onis and natural phenomena mess with the connections; the deeper you go into Oniboshi, the more frequently they change.

Some waypoints are claimed by various onis to form a kingdom, while many are effectively constantly changing 'wilderness'.

Oniboshi is divided into regions in two major ways:
* By Element
* Outer/Middle/Inner

These can be combined, to say 'Inner Fire' or 'Outer Space'.

The elemental regions partake of the four elements which border creation, but also have a fifth 'Space'. It is the element reached by going 'UP' instead of 'OUT' from Creation. Space is an air-filled void full of planets whose nature reflects those of the elemental regions they are over. Certain rumors claim one can eventually fly through 'Space' to other Creations, possibly with different elements. Only the oni know for sure. Those oni who live in space usually have giant vessels for long-distance travel; the waypoints are often HUGE out there.

Where the elemental regions correspond to directions, the other system measures how far from creation you are. Outer Oniboshi touches upon Creation, is very stable, and mainly only changes when Oni mess with it. Most Oni live in Middle Oniboshi, where reality is stranger and more fluid, but stays fairly well in place once shaped. Inner Oniboshi touches on the true Wyld and tends to dissolve into extreme weirdness unless constantly shaped and reinforced.
