When a creature dies of [[TheHoverpope/Derethan | Derethan]]'s most vile disease, their bodies are consumed from the inside by a demonic parasite. When they die, the demon that has consumed them sloughs off their skin and stands, a Telathus. The Telathi are among the most vile of the lesser demons. When they walk creation they walk it in the clothes and appearance of a poor travelling religious figure; monks, shamans, preists, and other individuals respected for good works. They avail themselves of the pity of the good-hearted, and when it is granted and a humble family or other good person takes them in, they spread disease as their hosts sleep and leave, touching a single finger to their door to leave a streak of yellow pus as they depart. This is the sign of the Talethus, and it warns others to think twice before acting kindly, unless they want to die sweating and writhing.

Other notes: The Telathus' Stoke the flames may be used to evoke only pity, and their donning spiritual armor causes their sores to weep fluid which hardens to a milky yellow pus that soaks the force of blows. This lowers their appearance to 0. 
Spending a scene in the presence of a Telathus counts as exposure to typhus, and stagnant water that it touches, up to the size of a town well, becomes contaminated with cholera. They typically use this ability on all of the water in a house before they leave.
