=== Avakoshi, The Legion in Himself ===
In the first age, Hozipatha was known as the Daimyo and the Dragon, a demon renowned among sorcerors for his great utility. He could be a legion in and of himself, hordes of copies he had made sweeping the world clean. In the usurpation, he served the dragonbloods at the behest of a traitorous sidereal who had bound him, and he made a single mistake. He slew a Solar whom his mistress loved; and for his crime, Ephoria dismantled him and rebuilt him as Avakoshi, a lesser being.

Once he was tall and powerful, now he is curled up, bound and chained to himself. He faces both directions, having faces looking forwards and back, having arms sprouting from the same shoulders pointing forwards and back, and two pointed feet. One of his sides bears a broad grimacing smile, stretching his cheeks as if pulled by hooks; the arms of that side he carries spread broad outwards, and his eyes are spheres of cherrywood. On his other face he has a look of sadness that seems carven as if his face were a mask. His arms are bound in iron and brass rings in front of him, his eyes black obsidian weeping constantly with tears that evaporate before they strike any surface.

Avakoshi is lesser thing than he once was, and no longer does he possess force of arms - in fact, he has been made to never harm another being intentionally again. He still possesses his fundamental nature of multiplicity, but now it is hollow. Once, he could infect other beings with his nature and make them as hismelf; now, he can be in many places himself, but in a manner that defies observation. When he is about a task, he can be seen to be standing still and doing nothing, but there are flickers of motion out of the corners of eyes and ever present clicks of his long toenails on the stone behind.

Avakoshi is visible as lesser and weakened, and his repentence is manifest in his every motion and gesture. Characters must fail a compassion roll to attack him, and suffer an increased difficulty to strike him equal to their temperance.

Flickering Presence: 
At all times Avakoshi is everywhere and nowhere near himself; he is many workers and few. Whenever Avakoshi is involved in an extended roll, halve the duration between rolls. When he alone is involved in an extended roll, instead quarter it.

Avakoshi looks on a being with his weeping face, and they are struck with pity. This is an unnatural emotion mental influence; he creates an intimacy to pitying him for his suffering. This costs 1 willpower per scene to ignore, and the target's temperance in willpower must be spent total before the effect may be broken.

Avakoshi remembers when he was a ravaging scourge, and in his new state feels glad to have lost that. He fixes his smiling face's gaze on a target, and they are filled with mirth. This is an unnatural emotion effect; their attack rolls - physical and social - suffer an increased difficulty equal to the target's compassion. This costs one willpower per action to resist, and a character need not spend more than their own compassion willpower per scene.

Malediction: 
The malediction of Avakoshi is a touch most pleasant; for a cost of 15 motes and 1 willpower, he chooses a target he can see and raises their compassion by 3 and lowers their valor by 1. This cannot raise compassion past six or lower valor past 1.
