=== History ===
Once a happy hunter in a small tribe to the South of the mountains, Dieros was exiled from his home and tribe by the mad little god who ruled them and the shamans that served it. The little god's reasons were unclear but the result was not good for the mad spirit. Dieros was driven from the village with his favorite horse, left to die in the desert. He struggled to find food, but was unable to feed both himself and the horse and, in the end, was forced to eat his own best friend to survive. Just as he was about to die, he found an aasis and there, met Luna. She restored his horse to him as part of his own soul and left him in the oasis. 
Dieros returned to his tribe, killed the mad god and his priests and took over. When he was summoned by dreams sent by an ancient Owl, he gathered his small tribe and went north and east.

;Desert Hount: A long-legged domesticated jackal, one of the favored hounds of Dieros's native tribe.
;Apaloosa Horse: A fantastic bay-and-white leopard spotted horse from a village that just didn't get the hint to stop stealing Dieros's cheeses.

;Jormun the Snakeman: Dieros had to battle a tribe of vicious snakemen who guarded the Flying Crane. To gain entrance into their caves, he stalked and killed one of their guards and took on the Snakeman's form. Jormun was 15 feet from nose to tail and slithered on his massive ophidian body. His scales are red banded with black and yellow and a great hood spreads from his head.
