A sacred relic of the Kiramasu family, this sword is known as The Western Flame of Sacred Fury. It has the unique property of transmuting water into fire. As a perfect Red Jade slashing sword it is somewhat unusual as an artifact weapon for the lack of size difference between it and a normal blade.

<b>Flame of the West</b><br>
After striking someone in combat, the wielder may pay essence to increase the amount of damage it deals, as the foe's blood turns to fire. It does so at the rate of 1 mote per 1L up to a limit of the wielder's essence. In addition, as long as the at least a single mote has been spent, the victim adds one to any health level penalties they suffer for the rest of the scene (this effect is not cumulative). This power won't work against those opponents that do not have blood or some other water source to set fire to. It can also be used to set fire to other types of water as the need arises with 1 mote being the minimum needed to start a small fire.

This red jade reinforced buffjacket has been decorated with symbols of a great fire blazing against a starlit background. All who see it are impressed by the aura of command that the wearer apparently exudes. This armour supplies an additional +1 to any presence rolls needed to show himself to be in command of the situation or otherwise lead men.
