Faded Path was a bar brawler and prize-fighter notorious for the dirty tricks he employed to win. A military commander from a city state where the soldiers were hamstrung by their culture’s concept of honorable battle recruited him to teach them the art of low fighting.

When an Outcaste Dragon-Blooded tried to take over the city, the men and women trained by Faded Path managed to fight him off. During the battle, Faded Path Exalted. Afterwards a foreign warrior woman approached him and took him to Heaven.

Faded Path quickly took to the tenets of the Bronze, but he rebelled against what he saw as dangerous formalism in their teachings. He believes that the Sidereals are relying too much on their formalized Martial Arts and that many of them could benefit from learning some improvisation and dirty fighting. Many of the sifus oppose what they call his shit-flinging style of fighting. They become enraged when he instructs their students without the sifus’ consent.

For now, Faded Path concentrates on modernizing the combat schooling of young Chosen. But despite his relative youth (he’s only been Chosen for fifty years), he thinks in the long term. The Sidereals need to adapt to the changing times, and he is just the man to bring some changes about.

The elders tolerate him. After a few centuries, his views will come to resemble theirs, they reason. Time will tell whether they are proven right.
