Master Craftsman's Eye

With but a glance, the character can evaluate the craftsmanship of any item, including
the exact materials used, the skill with which the item was originally made, it's age and current
condition, and the level of use it has recently seen, and how well it has been cared for.
In addition to selecting the best quality equipment, this charm can also effortlessly detect
forgeries and find the most stable footing in man-made structures that have fallen into
disrepair. The charm will also reveal any Craft charms that were used in the item's creation,
and also tell whether or not it is enchanted in any way, although it won't reveal any details
of the enchantment's nature.

Cost: 6 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Craft: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Master Craftsman's Eye

In just a few minutes of careful examination, the character becomes intimately familiar with
an artifact. In addition to all the of the information he could have gleaned with Master
Craftsman's Eye, the character also perfectly understands all of the purposes and uses of the
artifact that its creator did not specifically attempt to conceal (very useful in the case of
First Age works whose usage is no longer commonly understood). If the artifact is enchanted,
the character learns the general nature of the enchantment and how it is used. Furthermore, the
character also reads the signature traces of Essence left by the artifact's original creator.
If the creator is personally known to the character his identity is obvious; otherwise, the
character learns the creator's rough level of permanent Essence, whether he was mortal or
beyond human, and if Exalted, the type of Exaltation.

Dazzling Swift Hands Technique

Cost: 8 motes
Duration: One task
Type: Simple
Minimum Craft: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Flawless Handiwork Method

Using this charm, a character can complete a work of craft in record time. An Exalted using
this charm can divides the time it takes to complete a single work of craftsmanship by (1 +
his permanent Essence.) This charm may be applied to both the planning and actual work phases
of a project, but must be invoked seperately to shorten the working time required for each roll
the player makes.

Effortless Genius Exercise

Cost: 15 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Craft: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Dazzling Swift Hands Technique, Whirlwind Brush Method

In the space of one scene, as long as the character has access to some form of writing
materials (even something as crude as a stick and some dirt to draw in), the character can
almost instantly devise the most complicated plans. He may immediately make an Intelligence +
Craft roll for the planning phase of any crafting project, even for large-scale projects (such
as manse architecture) which would normally taken several months of time to plan. The character
may use other Charms to supplement the roll, but if he does not accumulate enough successes he
must take the normal amount of time to work on his plans before he can make any further rolls.
