== Description ==

Enlightenment is a great sword of translucent-red Chiaroscuro glass. The weapon was given shape by an Ifrit smith soon after the Tri-Kahn had exterminated the last of the bandit kingdoms that had infested Chiaroscuro's broken streets since the end of the Contagion. Originally presented to the metropolis’ new ruler as commentary on the need for excellence in governing, the Tri-Kahn kept the sword on display in his family’s residence as a prestige item for several generations. After an attempt on a successor’s life, the sovereign gifted the weapon to the Delzahn noble who had cut down his attacker. That noble’s son in turn carried the sword to Calin, where it was put to brutal use during the bloody siege at the Kagi castle by the future commander of the [[/KagiMercenaries | Kagi Mercenaries]]. Most recently, Aric Kagi passed the sword to his youngest son shortly before his child's Exaltation on the battlefields of Thorns.
