<onine> <onine> Yengo and Ujiro have since split to go and find Eudorus, the apparent captain of Glie's guard.  You and Tara follow the hulking mass of the Magistrate back to the fountain in the town center where Epheri and Anona plot.

<br><onine> * Vana is still mostly quiet, seeming ill-at-ease. Par for the course with Vana, but this is a little bit stronger than usual.

<br><onine> <onine> The people much like in any other town that rarely sees the exalted, bow or flee at the sight of the magistrate and to a lesser extent you.

<br>* Vana fidgets slightly, eventually working up the willpower to speak again. "Magistrate?"

<br><onine> "Yes Vana?"

<br><Vana> "Um... do you need me at the moment?"

<br><onine> He chuckles and glances back at you, his eye glittering.  "I always do, it depends in what fashion you meant.  Did you have something in mind?"

<br><Vana> "Well, I... I was going to talk to some of the villagers. See if I couldn't get some of them to stay with some friends, closer to the middle of the village..." She looks uncomfortable at taking any sort of initiative.

<br><onine> He stops, rubbing his moustache.  "Go... but stay as subtle as you can.  Keep your eyes open."

<br><onine> "Although I have no fears of mortals arresting you, the less trouble, the better."

<br>* Vana nods slightly. "Yes, sir. I will." She bows, in the oddly formal Lookshy fashion, and starts off towards the river, and the edge of the village.

<br><onine> "Good luck."  Tara offers as you leave.

<br>* Vana offers a smile and thanks as she wanders off.

<br><onine> You go about in a wide circle around the town, most of the villagers don’t pick you as a Dragonblood, but a few are smart enough to know what Jade Artifacts mean.  Most pack quietly, some refuse to leave.

<br>* Vana tries to persuade them that it is only temporary, and that they don't lose anything if she is wrong.

<br><onine> Along the way you do notice a pair of guardsmen in different uniforms to the captain tailing you.  They don’t tail too close or intently however, being a Dragonblood, they are of course very wary of you.  It would not take a great deal of effort to lose them.

<br><onine> You get the feeling they would RATHER not be doing this.

<br>* Vana does indeed spend a little of her energy to deepen her skin tone to a pale red. Hopefully the villagers will react a little better to this.

<br><onine> Most of them are suitably cowed/impressed, though you can bet that they will be gossiping about this rare occurrence.  'A Dragonblood asked me to stay over Uncle... '
