A brief history:
The Fortress was constructed during the final stages of the Primordial War. It was originally a basic outpost from which the Exalted could wage the war in the south-west, but grew over time to it's final five-mountain form. During the First-Age it became the home to many Solars and the largest military force in the South. At it's height, ten Legions were based there. Many expeditions into the wyld were launched under Tahari Faebane, and great swathes of Creation were carved wholesale out of the chaos after each victory. It was a glorious achievement. During it's construction, Kal-Bax was known to have made use of The Sedurian, Who Twists the World Out of Shape. Each of the five mountains of the Fortress is filled with 75 manses in a unique display of essence warping perfection. Each mountain had a series of forges at it's heart. One was staffed by Gods, one by Demons, one by Fae, one by Ghosts and one by Mortals. Of course, each was also staffed by various Exalts, and all were under Gilneir's direct supervision.

Unfortunately, as the Solars fell into corruption, so did the Fortress. More and more demons were being summoned and used by the arrogant Exalts.
