Stalwart Integument Discipline
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Resistance: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Durability of Oak Meditation

Through long experience of channeling Essence to reinforce his body, the Exalt has permanently toughened himself against minor nicks and cuts. If a successful attack inflicts a number of dice of lethal damage less than or equal to the character's lethal soak total, the character still suffers a minimum of one die of damage, but that damage becomes bashing, rather than lethal.

If magics such as the Greater Sign of Endings increase the minimum number of damage dice dealt to a character with this Charm, all of those dice are converted to bashing, but damage which exceeds the character's lethal soak remains lethal. (Example: While suffering from the effects of the Greater Sign of Endings, invoked by a Bronze Faction Sidereal with Essence 5, a Solar with Stalwart Integument Discipline and a lethal soak total of 15 is hit for 17 dice of lethal damage. Because of the Greater Sign, the minimum damage dealt by this attack is 5 dice, of which 2 will be lethal, and 3 bashing.)

Stalwart Integument Discipline does not protect a character from aggravated damage (or bashing damage, for that matter). No character may take this Charm more than once.

Fortified Body Practice
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Resistance: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Stalwart Integument Discipline, Iron Skin Concentration

The Exalt's toughening regimen has reached such a degree of advancement that his body is as solid as the stone wall of a mighty castle. He subtracts one die of non-aggravated damage from any successful attack against him, after soak. This can reduce damage to zero. Fortified Body Practice cannot be taken more than once by any character.

Perfection of Iron Fortitude
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Resistance: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Fortified Body Practice, Adamant Skin Technique, Iron Kettle Body

The Exalt's skin is now permanently charged with fortifying Essence, permitting him to wade through seas of lesser foes without harm. All damage dealt to him is reduced by one die after soak, to a minimum of zero dice; this is a perfect defense. The benefit of Perfection of Iron Fortitude includes and supersedes that from Fortified Body Practice. The Essence flows in the Exalt's skin may be detected as if he had committed 5 motes to this Charm, though no motes need actually be spent. No character may take this Charm more than once.
