= Eight Shades of Deception Style =

== Introduction ==

"People fear the masters of Eight Shades of Deception Style for they are insubstantial as shadows yet as deadly as night."

The seven shadows created by the form are consider in style weapons. They have the same stats as the martial artist's unarmed attacks with the exception that the rate is equal to the number of undissipated shadows.

Shadow Damage: All shadow damage is healed at the end of the scene. If someone is incapacitated by shadow damage then they are knocked unconsious until the beginning of the next morning. For the purposes of regeneration and soak, shadow damage counts as lethal.

A shadow simulcrum appears from the stylist's body and shoots forward to a place within 10 yards, when it arrives the stylist disappears from his original spot and reappears in place of the simulcrum. This extra movement can't be used to travel anywhere the martial artist couldn't have traveled normally within 10 yards. This charm may only be activated once each turn.

The Shadow Hides

As long as the martial artist is standing in a patch of shadow they may add their essence to stealth rolls.

The Shadow Strikes
:Cost: 2 motes per 1B/1L soak reduction
:Duration: Instant
:Type: Supplemental

:Prereqs: None
Insubstantial the shadow passes through all barriers to strike at the target. Every 2 motes spent powering this charm reduces the target's soak by 1B/1L. Attacks made with this charm always deal shadow damage.

Seven Shadows Form

This charm creates seven shadow simulcrum of the Eight Shades of Deception Stylist. Each shadow may move seperately under the control of the stylist but must remain within his (essence x 5) yards. These shadows may only make charm enhanced attacks (which count as unarmed), but any damage dealt is considered shadow damage. If a shadow is dealt damage it dissipates causing 1 shadow damage to the stylist as it goes. In addition for 1 mote (not commited) a dissipated shadow can be reflexively reformed on any turn after the one it dissipated on.

An almost clawlike swipe that leaves a red aftermimage of the swipe in the air, that if it strikes 1 turn after the hit and initial damage causes a burst of blood from the wound, causing additional damage. If the attack hits, then the victim suffers an additional amount of shadow damage equal to the martial artist's essence at the end of their next action. This damage only takes effect if the victim has suffered at least one health level of shadow damage. If the victim is able to heal all shadow damage before the end of their next action, they suffer no further damage.

Focusing his will upon a specific target, the martial artist unleashes all his shadows in a series of devastating attacks. This attack allows the martial artist to attack a single target within essence x 5 yards, a number of times equal to the number of shadows currently active.

Hidden Shadow

:Prereqs: Seven Shadows Form
The stylist darkens until he resembles his shadows and they become impossible to tell apart. Anyone wishing to determine which shadow is the stylist must make a perception + awareness roll at difficulty 5, unless they have essence sight.

This charm allows the character to switch places with one of his shadows, this can be done in response to an attack, in which case the attack will be redirected at the shadow being switched with unless it is undodgeable.
