<b>Deathlord of the shadowland Ikitar (eastern portion of Marama’s Fell) </b>

In the Northlands is the great volcano Ikitar, crowned by black smoke and billowing cinders. All black basalt and cracked lava flows, it broods over a vast plain of ash. At the center of the volcano’s caldera is a fortress, The Seat of Frozen Flame. Built all of basalt, onyx and soulsteel, the spires that jut from the bottom of the crater are only the topmost levels of the Deathlord’s great Manse. Below, miles upon miles of tunnels wind through the rock, leading ultimately to the Throne Beneath the Mountain. The Throne is built all of the blackened bones of ancient Dragon Kings who long ago called Ikitar home. It sits in a great cavern far beneath the surface, illuminated by the glow of molten rock and scented by noxious brimstone. Upon the throne sits The King Beneath the Mountain.

The King, who is also known as The Lord Who Devours From Below, appears as a tall, gaunt warrior garbed all in soulsteel plate armor. It is encrusted with an Empress’ ransom in diamonds, rubies and jade of red and black, arrayed in splendid and terrible patterns of vast occult power. His face is hidden by his helm’s visor. Sullen red light spills from within the armor through the joints, like the glow of lava at the bottom of a chasm. Upon his brow rests a crown which glows and crackles and oozes, fashioned all of molten black-red rock. The King favors a long lance of soulsteel and black jade and Malfean brass called The Pillar of Hell.
