=== Personality Notes ===
Shan is first and foremost a healer, and this is very nearly all that defines her. When not engaged in medicine – either through discussion, preparation, or practice – she is withdrawn and quiet. When healing, however, she is loud, overbearing, and prone to berating people for getting hurt or sick. Her bedside manner is not conducive to rest. She will go to considerable lengths to help others, and is also remarkably self-controlled. She is mostly vegetarian, eating meat only at the beginning of the week, and is celibate (at least for the duration of her journeyman service – see below).

=== Biography ===
Born and raised in Nexus, Shan was adopted by an order of healers in that city when she Exalted. Following the precepts of the order, she left after completing her initation into its third rank to perform her journeyman service, a twenty-year circuit of the Scavenger Lands. During this circuit, she heals, brings life and hope, and generally acts as a champion of life and the downtrodden. She has been travelling for about five years as of now. In fifteen years, she may return to Nexus and attain the fourth rank of initation in the order.

=== Primary Aptitudes ===
Combat: Average. Though she's an excellent archer, Shan does not possess a warrior's spirit. On the other hand, there are few better to have in the support echelon, healing the wounded. 
Diplomacy: Poor. Shan... is not tactful. Nor is she perceptive in social matters. 
Espionage: Average. Shan is very intelligent, but utterly untrained in matters of secrecy. 
Leadership: Average. She can usually figure out what needs doing – especially medically – but often has difficulty persuading people to do it. 
Magic: Good. Shan is a superb physician, and is also intelligent and has mastered most of the common Medicine Charms of the Dragon-Blooded. She is amenable to training in the occult arts, provided it can be related to healing.

Loyalty Estimate: Average. Shan is difficult to sway to or from a course of action; she has a lot of personal inertia and tends to be a shade monomaniacal. At the moment, she's focused on being White Pines' resident healer, serving under the Circle.

Assignment: Formerly Amara Onya's personal assistant; presently co-guardian of the Sun-Bourne Glade along with the lion dog Ah Song.

Manse: Presently attuned to the Sun-Bourne Glade, where she resides in a tent near Ah-Song's cave. 
Mentor: Every so often, Shan encounters another of her order. When this happens, she studies with that healer for a month or so. These encounters generally happen once every two or three seasons.
