== The Auspex in Crimson ==
Description: The Auspex in Crimson is a beautiful woman of indeterminate age. She appears to be of patrician descent, a child of the Realm. Her hair is black, as are her eyes, and she is garbed in lush robes of red and white. Though she appears unarmed, knives hide in her sleeves. She carries a staff with an arcane instrument atop it, which aids her in studying the Calender of Setesh. She is great with child, though this is not immediately obvious. 
Roleplaying Notes: The Auspex is concerned primarily with the stars of the Underworld and with the ghosts she has sworn to protect -- and her family. She prefers to avoid battle, arranging things so that others will find it in their best interests to fight for her. In this regard, she is subtle, secretive, and manipulative. Despite her tactics, she is also kind, as kind as she can be, and exquisitely polite. 
Concept: Rogue sorceress and prophet

The Auspex in Crimson was once a patrician of the Realm who served in the Water Fleet as a surgeon and thaumaturge. When her ship went down in a battle with pirates in the Northwest, the Bodhisattva offered her a way out. She has regretted her choice ever since.

Though she at first served the Silver Prince loyally as a sorceress, she fled Onyx a year ago in the company of [[/PelepsLeden | Peleps Leden]], a Dynast -- and Solar -- who had fallen afoul of the Deathlord. Now she and her lover have found their way to the [[/IsleOfShadows | Isle of Shadows]] where she is drawn to her shard's ancient tomb in hopes of finding a way to break her bondage to the Bodhisattva.

The fact that she is heavily pregnant with their first child complicates things; however, they are aided by the small company of ghosts that the Auspex has gathered around her for mutual protection.
