It was her long time obsession to have a child knowing that she could she lost herself to Clarity so she wold not have to dwell on it. When she saw Creation she was amazed and it gave her hope. Learning what she could from the life there and the principles she was able to construct a charm that would allow her to fulfill her greatest desire. And with the recent losses to the population, despite being in uncertain territory the Assembly has condoned it.
