= Introduction =

This project got its start in summer 2003, when I started thinking seriously about what I'd like Infernal Exalted to be like. For a long time leading up to that point, I'd been pretty strongly against the whole idea; I didn't think it was really necessary to have yet another Exalted type, and I was unimpressed by the prevailing lines of fan speculation. Eventually, after it became clear that Infernal Exalted really would be a part of the setting, I decided it would be more productive to come up with my own take on the subject than to just whine about it. What you see here is me finally putting my money where my mouth is.

I've since stalled out on the project; I had lots of ideas, but kind of balked at realizing them. I got distracted by other things, and it's unlikely that I'll ever finish this up on my own. Therefore, I'm opening this project up to anyone who wants to contribute. All I ask is that you read my "design documents," and what I've already written, and try to hold to the themes presented therein; I do reserve the right to just nix stuff I think isn't appropriate. However, I will always comment, and attempt to reach some kind of compromise, before reaching for my delete key.
