The ''Seed of Autocthon'' is a small metallic cylinder, roughly 4 inches in length. Composed primarily of Orichalcum, this tube has small nodules along its length and a 'head' at the top, where a single Hearthstone can be fitted. When attuned to the Seed, an Exalt will slowly come to recognize just how "tasty" the Seed appears, and will invariably consume the Seed within an hour of attunement. Over the course of the next 7 days, the various sections and chambers within the Seed open, releasing thin wires made of the five magical materials, which slowly work their way through the Exalt's body. Rather than being painful, this process is almost undetectable, as these wires are not only invasive, but symbiotic, assisting with the user's own bodily functions. Starmetal wires carry nervous signals faster than the spine, and Moonsilver musculatures can generate much more force than any muscle. The various signals and controls are routed through the central processing core of the Seed, which in many ways resembles the memory apparatus from an Orichalcum Alchemical. This core, containing a small fragment of Autocthon's purity, becomes accessible by the Exalt's consciousness, granting him abilities beyond those he normally possesses. At the end of the 7-day "acclimation period", the Exalt's body has been honed to a finely crafted state, with senses integrated into action, and all systems operating at peak efficiency. If, for some reason, the Seed should lose attunement, it will be forcibly expelled from the body within one hour, usually in an act of vomiting. The wires and other augmentations will slowly be absorbed by the body's immune system over the next 7 days. If the Seed should be re-implanted before that time, the acclimation process is much shorter, however, as expected. It is almost impossible to tell if an Exalt is carrying the Seed of Autochton, with their eyes showing the only sign, small pinpricks of gold wiring, much like those found in the eyes of Mercury's chosen. The Seed of Autocthon requires 25 motes of essence to commit.
