Lie-Splitting Talons
Cost: 2 mutation points
Duration: Permanent
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Sword: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisites: Armament of Flesh

The raksha with this mutation can turn their natural weapons into far more dangerous items that take on the properties of cold-wrought iron. Whatever subtle (or obvious) natural weapons they possess take on a metallic sheen, and the flesh immediately around them begins to swell, twist and darken. Raksha who take this mutation are watched at all times, for they are the perfect sort for quietly and stealthily taking out other raksha, should the need arise. This can make for quick allies and quicker enemies, making possession of this mutation quite dangerous at times.

This mutation gives the raksha access to the following ability which supercedes Armanent of Flesh when it is active.

Touch of Iron: As a reflexive, instant action and at no cost, the raksha may imbue their natural weapons with the Wyld-tearing power of cold iron. The statistics for the raksha's extant natural weapons become Speed -3, Accuracy +2, Defense +1, Damage +7L and Rate 3.

This effect may be turned on and off at will, but for every activation of Touch of Iron, the raksha suffers an unsoakable point of aggravated damage, as their emulation of the unalloyed truth that shatters dreams tries its best to shatter them as well. These natural weapons can dispel glamours with but a successful strike and deal aggravated damage to the Wyld-born as normal cold iron would.

Minimum Sword: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisites: Root of the Perfected Lotus

While the raksha may easily look below and around them to come to an understanding of the raw, wild and forcefully direct might of Terrestrial Martial Arts, looking up towards the sky is far more difficult. Nonetheless, even the dream-spawned Raksha can dare to grasp at the heavens and take hold long enough to pull power and understanding down with them.

A raksha who purchases this mutation loops their very being tightly into the attitude needed to further their Martial Arts capabilities. From the moment the raksha accepts this mutation, they learn martial arts as a Celestial. This mutation also grants the raksha an additional dot in Martial Arts, and raises the maximum number of dots in Martial Arts by one.

Should the Raksha somehow have Root of the Perfected Lotus removed from their being, they immediately lose all the benefits gained from Bulb of the Perfected Lotus as well, as the two seamlessly interlock. Restoration of the prerequisite mutation remedies this instantly.

I like Lie-Splitting Talons a whole bunch. Its text is a little confusing, though; maybe it'd be a little clearer written up like the elemental attacks in the Assumption Charms, with the mutation granting a named ability? - [[willows]]

I agree with willows about Lie-Splitting Talons. Bulb of the Perfected Lotus,
however, isn't really needed. As a Raksha with Root of the Perfected Lotus learn's
Martial Arts as a Terrestrial Exalted, which means that after an intiation, they
can already learn Celestial Martial Arts. - Dasmen

I'm thinking about altering it so that they simply can learn as Celestials PERIOD (one use to supercede Root, lowered charm costs and learning times, and so on), and can even devise their own arts once they become true masters.
