Anja grew up in the city of Great Forks. An active tomboy of a girl she
had lots of friends and was rarely at home. The reason she hated being at
home was her father. A middle-level bureaucrat in a brandy business he was
an abusive and violent man to both his wife and his child for whenever his
day went bad. And if things weren't going really good, that meant it was a
bad day.\\
Anja loved her mother more then anything and when she could she tried to
either calm her dad down or just get him to take out his anger on her
instead. Even with having to deal with this she managed to go to school,
hang out with friends, and even picked up some swordplay from her best
friend who was getting taught by his dad.\\
At 14 even with all this she would still have thought herself a happy
child. One evening though things changed her life forever. Her father had
just been passed over at work for a promotion. Bad attitude they claimed
and had been out drinking quite heavily. When he returned home and found
only his daughter there he started to beat her. This time though for a
reason known only to him things went differently and beyond the abuse he
raped her.\\
After this she couldn't stay. She ran from home that night, stealing her
fathers sword when she left. She couldn't face her mother after that. To
her she knew her mother loved her father more then anything, which is why
she stayed with him even though he abused both of them. To have somehow
tempted her father into having sex with her was unforgivable so she ran.
A week after leaving Great Forks she got surrounded by a group of Hill
People. Having no money for them to have they decided to kill her. In the
battle the Unconquered Sun decided to exalt her. She had always had great
potential and she was doing well even though she would have lost without
exalting. She killed them and found out where their camp was. She went to
their camp and found the split blade. It was the leaders even though he
couldn't use it, they had killed a farmer who had dug it up and took it.
Meanwhile in the Halls of Heaven the Gold had finally convinced the Bronze
to let them properly foster and watch over a solar. One the Bronze would
not kill. She was chosen. After watching those who were exalting they
thought she would be the easiest to manipulate, control and watch for
madness. The Bronze would let the Gold take care of her and made sure a
accurate record of her powers and skills was kept. With all the solars
returning they also wanted to reaquaint their younger members with what a
solar could be like given time to grow their skills.\\
Back to Anja, while wandering she came across a young cougar cub. It was
alone, its mother killed and Anja started to take care of it, needing
someone to love and love her in return. Her exaltation and power still
young she bonded with it and it became her familiar. Within a week the Wyld
Hunt arranged by the Gold found her and attacked. This was when Seven
Blossums Dancing found her. She was a young 300 year old Gold faction
Sidereal of Secrets and the one chosen to help her out. She saved her life
and killed the Blooded.\\
Anja, happy to have been saved, impressed by the powers the Sid displayed
easily accepted the idea to return with her to Yu-Shan. She learned about
how the solars had ignored the wisdom of the Sidereals in the first age and
what happened because of it. She quickly became indoctrinated into the sids
views and took them for her own.\\
She thinks that Sidereals are really a step above mortals, and most exalts.
Her normal fight/flight instinct with regards to men is not really there
with Sidereal men or gods. She still hates sex and all the sids know to not
involve her in anything sexual. She is now a quiet girl, and stays in the
area either in SDB's manse or close by it. She knows why the sids are
watching her and want her help and accepts it.\\
She has been told she will be assigned to assist a circle of sids soon.
She carefully fills out forms and gives them to SDB whenever she learns a
new charm. SDB is a friend and a mentor, tutoring her in charms and many
things.
