New page

Disclaimer:

=== Step One Character Concept ===
Choose Concept, Exalt Type and Motivation

=== Step Two Choosing Attributes ===
Note that all nine attributes start with one dot automatically before you assign any.
Prioritise your attribute categories Physical (Strength, Dexterity, Stamina), Social (Charisma, Manipulation, Appearance) and Mental (Perception, Intelligence, Wits). You have 7 dots to assign to your primary attribute category, 6 to assign to your secondary category and 4 attribute dots to place in the tertiary category.

=== Step Three Choosing Abilities ===
Choose abilities (25) none may be higher than 3 without spending bonus points.
Note a single favoured ability.

=== Step Four Advantages ===
Backgrounds (5) and virtues (5) –no background or virtue may be raised above 3 without spending bonus points

=== Step Five Finishing Touches ===
Record Essence (2), willpower (sum of the two highest virtues) and determine health levels 7+ any gained from charms, determine personal essence pool (essence + willpower) and see below for peripheral essence.
=== Bonus Points ===
Spend bonus points at any point during character creation (15)

=== Exalt type ===

==== Classification ====
Celestial Exalted- the Exaltation is an indestructible swirling mass of essence and an almost limitless wellspring of power. Peripheral Essence is determined by the following calculation [Essence x6] + [Willpower] + [the sum of all highest virtues] the essence will seek out a new host should the current one die.

Terrestrial Exalted- the Exaltation permeates the substance of the host's being as though it were a living organism in itself. Peripheral Essence is reduced to [Essence x4] + [Willpower] + [the sum of the two highest virtues] any children the bearer has have a 10% chance of inheriting the Exaltation. Which may be increased by other factors.

==== Anima Power ====
An anima power typically costs 5 motes to activate or free once 11-15 motes of Peripheral are spent. Anima powers can be broad in scope but for those who need guidelines, many are roughly on a par with the power of a 3-dot Hearthstone. Obviously you can make powerful anima effects but realistically these should lack the free activation and/or cost more motes.
==== Charm basis ====
Exalt charms are tied to paticular traits, usually abilities- but it can also be to attributes (as demonstrated by Lunars)and though none of the existing Exalts are designed in this manner they can also have virtue based charms.
Ability- The Exalt has 5 caste abilties - Excellencies typically have a cap of (Ability)
Attribute- The Exalt has 3 caste attributes- Excellencies typically have a cap of (Essence)
Virtue- The Exalt has one caste virtue- Excellencies typically have a cap of (Essence)
=== Merits and Flaws ===
Merits
Extended Life
Flaws
Intrinsic Trait- One of the Exalt’s traits is fundamentally woven into the Exaltation- and neglecting it makes further enlightenment impossible.
Determine any one trait(aside from essence, for reasons that will become apparent) – whenever the Exalt’s permanent essence exceeds this trait they must raise this trait before they spend experience on anything else.
1 point flaw (may be taken twice)
Capped Essence
Mortality
Inherited Curse
