Fat of the Land Method

Minimum Survival: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Wild-Wandering Forester Charm

The Exalt using this charm doesn't need to worry about food while he's in the wilderness, as the small spirits of the wood provide for him everything he needs to survive. The Dragon-Blooded who has activated this charm doesn't have to worry about drinking bad water, and can find enough fruits, nuts and berries to survive indefinately in the wilderness with only the slightest bit of effort (and taking up no time each day). The use of this charm is automatic in even the most slightly verdent terrain but becomes slightly harder to utilize in the forsaken dunes of the South, the chill artic extremes of the North, and the endless expanses of water in the West. In such locations the Dragon-Blooded must make a Stamina + Survival roll, difficulty 2, to find enough each day to survive in the region. Note that there are many individual locations in each Direction where this roll is not required (a oasis or scrubplain in the South, or most islands in the West). This charm only provides enough food for the Dragon-Blooded himself, and he cannot feed another in his stead.

A Dragon-Blooded with this charm exerts a great amount of control over all things that grow, enabling him to roughly plan out how plants will develop over the course of years. He can shift the branches of trees into natural arches, turn bushes into fine hedge walls, and keep excess growth under control simply by running his hand over a given tree. He can force flowers to bloom early, enhance or promote germination, or keep weeds from spreading under his windowsill. This charm has no real effect on the short term, but each use reorders the internal essence of the plant so that the Dragon-Blooded can dictate how the plant will behave over the course of the next year. This will not accomplish the impossible, and plants will not change any faster than they normally would, but that growth and change follows the Dragon-Blooded's commands. Many Dynasts employ particularly talented Wood-aspects with this charm to have their estates landscaped, creating all manner of exotic natural effects.
