Lord Du Lu (15): Barely more than a mere boy and Lord in name only, Du Lu is nontheless the current Lord of Cantrev Lu. His parents both died during a harsh summer illness a year ago, and he was recalled from Tinallion to rule the land. He is surrounded by advisors and hanger ons, still too soft to turn them aside and too trusting to know how blatantly he is being used. He is still a child, thrust into an adult's world, and is often uncertain as to his next steps. This would matter little, if Cantrev Lu did not control some of the richest fishing lands of all the Violet Coast.

Sir Jin-Wu Lu (35): Du Lu's uncle, Jin-Wu has little patience for the nicities of ruling. He's never been one who felt comfortable under a roof, and has spent much of his life on horse or boat, delivering messages and the Lord's Will under his father, then his brother, and now his nephew. He's not thrilled with the way the Cantrev is progressing, but sees little help for it.

She would hardly be recognized by her brother, her hair shaved and dressed in a monk's simple ge rather than the velvets of court.
