The Great Maker first created the Gods. He then created The Mountain Folk. The other Primordials grew jealous, and tried to mimic his creations. Their results would have been complete failures, had it not been for Autocthon's paranoid tendancies. Unbeknownst to all, he shaped two protectors out of the dust, to guard the first creations of his brothers.

These invisible protectors were in a spot of bother, as the number of mortals they had to protect increased, so they called in autochthon to make some more of them. The orginal two rose to not only protect the first of the mortals, but Creation instead. As their responsibilities grew, their power rose with it. They fashioned healers to deal with damage caused by creatures of darkness. They fashioned instructors and commanders to train and command the protectors. They fashioned hunters to hunt those opposed to creation. They Fashioned The Librarians to inform and incite them. These fashioned servants were bestowed with superhuman power and proclaimed The Chosen of the Archangels.

Angel - a type of spirit. usually any spirit whose ultimate masters live in the cathedral is classified as an angel.

Chosen (of the archangels) - A guardian angel who has been exalted by the archangels and no longer has to protect a mortal.

Guardian angel - An Angel sent to protect a mortal until he has word from the division of endings.
