== Chosen of Death ==
Whites act as the advisors of the Underworld, seeking to shape its society into a more perfect form. They council leaders to act wisely and concern themselves with keeping the fabric of the Underworld intact. They curb the efforts of the Nephwracks and Deathlords to convert to the Cult of the Void and spread the gospel of ancestor worship, though with more restraint involved then the Deathlords would have.

=== Caste Markings ===
The eyes of a Chosen of Madness are brilliant, glowing white and their pupils are filled with specks of white starlight. The Sign of Death shines a dull white on the forehead of the Chosen when Peripheral Essence is expended.

=== Anima Effect ===
By spending 10 motes the Chosen can make the Lesser Sign of Death and spread their anima outwards in a flood of flat, white Essence that gives off only the faintest light. Within the bounds of the white pool spirits are unable to materialize. Any immaterial spirit within the area must make a Willpower roll, difficulty of the Synodic's Essence to remain within. Those outside the area must make the same roll to enter the anima. The pool of light extends Essence x 10 yards from the character.

The Guides have a natural association with those abilities tied to their House: Athletics, Awareness, Bureaucracy, Martial Arts and Medicine. They can easily command fates bound to the Dark Constellations of the Hanged Man, the Eye, the Bandage, the Victim and the Skull.
