Cherak is a Realm-aligned city-state on the north shore of the Inland Sea. It is ruled by [[HouseFerem | House Ferem]], according to the core book. However, in Savage Seas, it's mentioned as being the base of operations for [[HouseMargard | House Margard]].

Going by the "canon," it looks like House Ferem is the official ruling house of Cherak, and is a loyal tributary of the Realm. House Margard, on the other hand, is a merchant concern. The resulting tension between the two makes Cherak an interesting place.

Cherak's fleet is commanded by Admiral Ferem Helkar, a Fire-aspected DragonBlood.
