When Auguinare tastes blood, she draws the passions bound in its shedding into her soul. She becomes aware of the reason why the blood was shed and of what emotions coursed through the victim at the time. In addition, Auguinare may spend one point of Willpower to gain a temporary Virtue point appropriate to the emotion the victim was experiencing. For example, blood shed by a warrior in battle rage would give her a point of temporary Valor.

This Charm is crucial to the use of certain Craft Charms further in this Charm cascade, as it provides the necessary knowledge of the emotional resonances inherent in the blood.

Prerequisite Charms: Fervent Blood Awareness

It is a constant amongst all living beings: the flow of blood creates the rhythm by which they live and die; the sound of blood carries their soul's words out onto the wind. Auguinare's blood flows in a rhythm that is sympathetic to that of all beings, resonating and moving to match. Through this deep correlation of selves, Auguinare can come to understand the deepest soul of those she meets. Using this Charm upon an individual, Auguinare closes her eyes and listens intently to the resonant blood within her own body. She may make a Wits + Compassion roll, with a difficulty determined by what she wishes to learn. With one success, she may learn something the target longs for which he is acting to achieve, or a small secret. With three, she may learn of a strong regret or a great longing. With five successes, she may learn of the deepest secrets the target would not reveal, or their fondest and most terrible longings.

The cyclic resonance which fuels the ability of this Charm is strengthened greatly by the proximity of the blood to Auguinare's senses. As a result, she receives automatic successes on her Wits + Compassion roll equal to the number of levels of lethal damage the target currently suffers.

By feeding a sample of blood from one mortal being into another Auguinare can control the sounds of the blood within them. As the foreign blood-music overpowers their own the mortal victim is transformed into a mental copy of the one whos blood has infused him. The transformation makes only minor physical changes, but for as long as the Charm remains in effect, the victim believes himself to be the blood-donor and will think, speak and think exactly as the donor would. Magical mind reading techniques or identification by blood will show the target to be the donor.
