This contraption, an assemblage of brass housings and intricate <br />
crystal lenses, is used by astrologers to take accurate measurements <br />
of the stars. To use a stargazer's sextant, the character must spend <br />
an entire night observing the stars and making careful computations. <br />
At the end of this observation, he may ask the Storyteller a single <br />
yes/no question that the Storyteller is encouraged to answer in as <br />
cryptic a manner as possible. In the hands of Sidereal Exalted, the <br />
stargazer's sextant becomes even more useful. When computing a <br />
horoscope for an astrology effect, the Sidereal may add +1 effect <br />
dice to his College + Essence roll. Many young Sidereals are given these sextants when they are vested in the Five-Score Fellowship, as a token of accomplishment from their sifu.<br />
