The Frost Shadow Bow is a made of blue jade with highlights of silver worked into the recurve short powerbow. Anyone with the basic understanding of essence matters could easily tell the weapon is intended to evoke freezing effects. They say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing as those who assume that it is only their own body they must keep safe soon suffer for their error. Should the wielder fire an arrow and lodge it into the someone's shadow then they suffer the weapons magical effects.

Attacking the shadow of someone who isn't familiar with this weapon effectively counts as an unexpected attack. If they try to defend their shadow apply their normal DV to the defense just as if the archer were attacking the person directly. Needing only a single success to hit the shadow the arrow melts into the victim's shadow which frosts over and stays in place. This inflicts a shaping penalty on the person the shadow belongs to giving them a -3 die penalty to all actions involving dexterity.

This weapon has all the normal stats of a short jade powerbow.
