Slightly longer and slightly thinner than most daiklaives this Orichalcum weapon was not used by a Solar in ancient times. In fact it was a family heirloom gifted by one Solar to a Dragon-Blooded family for a well done service. The blade itself always seems to catch the light of the sun just a little bit more than other blades which is part of what gained it its name. It has an oval-shaped, small crossgaurd and the blade tapers just a tiny bit at the end.

This weapon has the normal stats of a daiklaive with a few additional powers. One; its strikes are Piercing. Two; the attuned owner can summon it reflexively to his hand by spending a mote. This functions as if the character had used the Solar Charm Calling the Blade but does not count as Charm use. Its final power lets the character take an action on the 0 tick before his normal action would come around from his Join Battle roll, i.e.: The Solar is in a duel and his Join Battle roll is 3 but his foe's is 5. He and his foe both act on the 0 tick and then the Solar may act again on the second tick.

 Unlike many weapons of Orichalcum after the Ursupation it continued to find use.  It was afterall a weapon that had been used by the one terrestial family for generations and though they had turned on the Solars who once ruled it had not turned on them.  During the Great Contagion the Wood Aspect who owned it and in command of the Indomitable Conquest Platform the Marching Oak was sickened and dying from the disease.  His crew dead and his own health suffering he lived on borrowed time.  His charms had not stopped the disease merely prolonged how long it would take to slay him.  Retreating from the Eastern edges of the world he sent word by sorcery to try to warn someone of the oncomming invasion.  Ultimately a raksha boarded the ship and in the battle the ship plumetted to the forests of the Threshold killing the commander and the Raksha.  Hidden there the vessel grew more and more hidden in the forest with its ancient weapon.
