Derogatory term coined by the Immaculate Order for the fallen Exalted of the First Age.<br>
Commonly used to describe all kinds of threat to creation.

"Anathema: The term the Immaculate Order uses to describe the Solar, Lunar and, recently, Abyssal Exalted. In the catechism of the Immaculates, Anathema are individuals who have become conduits for dark power and whose souls have been forever tainted by the influence of evil spirits. This doctrine is typically accepted without question in the Realm. It was previously observed in the Threshold because the Realm forced its tributary states to pay lip service to the Immaculates. Today, few Thresholders unquestioningly accept the dictrine of the Anathema."

Hmm. I don't think I've seen "Anathema" used to describe any threats to Creation besides Celestials. I thought it was a specific term for them ... got any page refs?<br>~ [[Shataina]]

:Infernal Dragon-Blood, definitely, assuming the Order knows about Infernals. Ghost-Blooded, probably not, though I get the feeling the Order would whack them anyway, just to be sure. - LeumasWhite

I just seem to remember it, I think from the description page for ghost-blooded. I don't recall them or anyone other than Celestials being refered to as actual Anathema, though. - [[Vervain]]

::::On the other hand, it isn't terribly uncommon for Celestial Exalted to be erroneously labeled as demons. It's entirely possible that human-seeming demons or renegade gods could be called anathema... but not as a standard practice. ~ WaiyaddoNoDan
