== Almandine, Artisan of Inverted Garnet: The Forlorn Jeweler, Consuming Soul of the Soapstone Heart ==

The Soapstone Heart is an enigmatic Yozi, whose motives and goals remain a complete cipher. The only clues available to scholars are to be gleaned from The Soapstone Heart’s lesser souls. What is there to learn from Almandine? It is a being of insatiable and desperate hunger, which craves the hopes and desires of all sentient creatures. While the demon itself is more than capable of devouring what it seeks from any who fall into its clutches, it has a far more insidious method of feeding: Almandine is capable of producing achingly beautiful pieces of jewelry. Each of these items is a powerful talisman, capable of tapping into a being’s hun and slowly siphoning away its hope and motivation. Scholars speculate that Almandine was created to take in all that inspires towards the end that it may find something to once again provide meaning and purpose to the Soapstone Heart.

In appearance, Almandine, is a 3 foot diameter sphere of what appears to be red garnet. The gemstone is enmeshed in a tangled nest of glistening entrails and shuddering viscera, which it uses to move about with a disturbing insectile locomotion. The jewelry for which it is famed is extruded from these fleshy appendages.
