Apologies to Dr Seuss. The Deathlord made me do it.

How the Mask of Winters Stole Calibration

On the last day of Fire near Nexus Town,
 The Mask of Winters stood with a sigh and a frown.
 The people down there were preparing a feast,
 So the Mask turned to Juggernaut and said to his beast,

"Those Nexies in Nexus, they make me so mad!
 "Calibration is here, yet they aren't very sad!
 "The city is peaceful, almost filled with joy --
 "Let's hurry down there and steal all of their toys!"

Then Juggernaut groaned and stared to crawl,
 Though he moved so slow it was hardly at all.
 Mask of Winters got angry and cast a great spell,
 And he landed in Nexus right next to a well.

"You there!" he said then, to a Nexie nearby,
 "I am here to take things and make you all cry!
 "So give me a moment, or maybe a while,
 "And I'll steal Calibration, and wipe off your smile!"

The Nexie just stood there and finally said,
 "You can take it, you know, and go boil your head.
 "Calibration is bad, though I think that you know,
 "So our feelings toward it are surprisingly low.

"So just take it," the Nexie continued and smiled,
 and continued to wash his clothes for a while.
 The Deathlord just stared, growing angry again,
 and he shot back to Juggernaut and sat in his den.

"Well, that plan is now moot, and a bad one, I think.
 "Let's go blow up Nexus; we're right on the brink!"
 And so Nexus was squished, and the Deathlord, he laughed,
 And he burned every houseboat and ferry and raft.

And now children, you know why those Nexies aren't there,
 And why craters now sit without joy and fanfare.
 That Deathlord is happy with nothing to rue;
 He stole their Calibration, and he'll steal yours, too!
