The Essence of the underworld is poison to Creation. The presence of the Moonshadow Caste can be just as poisonous to meetings and conversations. Skilled diplomats find themselves making gaffes they never would while those with less talent outright insult and mock those they are trying to form compacts with. So the enemies of the Underworld fall to infighting when they should be coming together and the Neverborn laugh. The Abyssal makes a (Manipulation + Linguistics + Essence) roll while taking part in a conversation or larger event such as a party. Anyone with a Dodge MDV lower then the successes rolled finds themselves in danger of making faux pas of a dangerous sort. Subract the Abyssal's permanent Essence from all Social rolls not based around threats or intimidation. Anyone who would have a roll reduced to less then 0 by this effect is considered to have Botched their roll.

The writing of the Abyssals can drive even the most stallwart man to know fear. This charm functions just like its Mirror except that it makes an emotion of fear for the Abyssal rather then love or admiration.

The Deathknight speaks and upon her brow, hovering an inch from her caste mark a meaningless symbol begins to form of blackness. As others see it the hear the mad whispering of the Neverborn inside their minds. With every twisted, impossible syllable she says the meaningless symbol grows more complex and their mad speaking grows louder in their ears. Upon using this charm the Abyssal rolls her Charisma or Manipulation + Performance or Presence. Performance if she wants all those around to suffer or Presence for the symbol to only make terrible sense to a single target. The target suffers a penalty to her MDV equal to the number of points the Abyssal has a higher Linguistics then her if any and this charm counts as a form of Unnatural Mental Influence. If the roll should exceed their MDV the charm begins to take effect which changes depending on the listener.

Mortals, Demons of the First Circle and non-Deathlord ghosts take an automatic unsoakable level of lethal damage. Non-Abyssal Exalted, Gods, Demons of the Second and Greater Circle, Fair Folk and Elementals gain a temporary dot of Whispers and suffer a -1 External penalty to all actions due to the distraction of the voices in their head. This penalty counts as an Emotion effect. For Deathlords roll a single die and keep track of the successes rolled.

Each turn after the turn she used this charm the Abyssal can continue to speak the word, spending 5m to keep it growing as a non-charm action and making another roll compared to their MDV. The first group suffers another automatic unsoakable level of lethal damage. The second group gains a another dot of Whispers and the penalty increases a point. For Deathlords roll a number of dice equal to the number of turns this charm has been active keeping track of the successes rolled.

This charm permanently enhances its prerequisite to make it ever more terrifying and refined. She can now continue to use this charm up to 10 turns in a row. She may also cause a Resonance buildup in Demons of the Second and Third Circle. Like its prerequisite any Exalt who does not suffer from the Great Curse can not learn this charm nor can Deathlords.
